# PowerPoint

## What is PowerPoint?

A **PowerPoint** slide shows a presentation from PowerPoint for the web (OneDrive or SharePoint) inside your EngageSlide presentation, so you can present your existing slides and put interactive questions between them. You paste the **embed code** that PowerPoint gives you. (Want EngageSlide inside the PowerPoint desktop app instead? ## Create a PowerPoint slide

1. On **Home**, click + Create new presentation (or add a slide to an existing one).
2. In **Choose Slide Type**, pick **Powerpoint**. You can also type it into Search slide types….
3. The slide is created and the right panel opens on the **Content** tab.

## Set up the content

1. Open your presentation in [PowerPoint for the web](https://powerpoint.office.com/). If it is on your computer, upload it to OneDrive first.
2. Choose **File → Share → Embed**, then click **Copy** (bottom right). This copies an embed code that starts with <iframe src="https://…".
3. In EngageSlide, click **New Slide**, open the **Integrations** tab and choose **Powerpoint**.
4. Paste the whole embed code into **Powerpoint Embed Code**. The presentation appears on the slide.
5. Optionally switch on **Show fullscreen** and **Display the embed link on the audience view**.

## PowerPoint settings

- **Show fullscreen** — The presentation fills the whole slide edge to edge; the header and control bar float on top.
- **Display the embed link on the audience view** — On: participants can also see the presentation on their phones. Off (default): their phones say _View on presenter screen_.

## On the audience side

By default, phones tell participants to look at the presenter screen. Switch on **Display the embed link on the audience view** to show the presentation on their phones too.

## View results

No responses are collected on this slide. Move through the PowerPoint pages with the controls of the embedded viewer; use EngageSlide’s next / back to go to your next slide.

> **Paste the embed code, not a link** — The field expects the full **<iframe …>** code from **File → Share → Embed**. A normal share link will not display.

## Frequently asked questions

### Can I upload a .pptx file here?

This slide embeds a presentation from PowerPoint for the web. To turn a file into EngageSlide slides instead, use **Import PPT/PDF** at the bottom of the slide list.

### Nothing shows after I paste — why?

Make sure you pasted the embed code (it starts with **<iframe**) and that the file is shared so the embed can be viewed.

### Do my edits show up?

Yes. The embed always shows the current version of the file in OneDrive or SharePoint.
