Remote Retro

Run a sprint retrospective with notes, voting and discussion.

What is Remote Retro?

A Remote Retro slide runs a full team retrospective — participants add sticky notes into columns, vote on the most important, and you discuss them together.
Presenter creates the slide Click Present Share code / QR Audience enters code Respond & submit Real-time results

Create a Remote Retro slide

    On Home, click + Create new presentation (or add a slide to an existing one).
  2. 2
    In Choose Slide Type, pick Remote Retro. You can also type it into Search slide types….
  3. 3
    The slide is created and the right panel opens on the Content tab.

Set up the content

    Set up the columns (e.g. Went well / To improve / Actions).
  2. 2
    Present and invite the team to add notes.
  3. 3
    Open voting, then discuss the top items.

Remote Retro settings

Columns
Define the retro categories participants add notes to.
Voting
Let the team vote so the most important notes rise to the top.
Time limit
Give the audience a countdown to respond. Turn on and set the number of seconds.
Hide result
Keep results hidden while people respond, then reveal them when you are ready.
Stop submission
Lock the slide so no more responses are accepted.

Present & share the join code

    Click Present in the top bar to put the slide on the big screen.
  2. 2
    A join code and a QR code appear (e.g. 36Y56).
  3. 3
    Participants open the Audience app at join.engageslide.com, type the code and press Enter — or simply scan the QR.
  4. 4
    When everyone has joined, the responses start flowing in live.

How the audience responds

Participants add notes into the columns and vote on the ones that matter most.

View results

Notes group by column and sort by votes, giving you a clear agenda for discussion and action items.
