Word Cloud
Turn short text responses into a living word cloud.
What is Word Cloud?
A Word Cloud collects short text answers from the audience and displays them as a cloud — the more often a word is submitted, the bigger it grows. Perfect icebreaker or brainstorming tool.

Create a Word Cloud slide
- 1On Home, click + Create new presentation (or add a slide to an existing one).
- 2In Choose Slide Type, pick Word Cloud. You can also type it into Search slide types….
- 3The slide is created and the right panel opens on the Content tab.
Set up the content
- 1Enter your question or prompt.
- 2Set how many entries per participant are allowed.
- 3Optionally add a question image.

How many words each person can submit (e.g. 1–3).
Profanity filter
Automatically hide inappropriate words where available.
Time limit
Give the audience a countdown to respond. Turn on and set the number of seconds.
Hide result
Keep results hidden while people respond, then reveal them when you are ready.
Stop submission
Lock the slide so no more responses are accepted.
Present & share the join code
- 1Click Present in the top bar to put the slide on the big screen.
- 2A join code and a QR code appear (e.g.
36Y56). - 3Participants open the Audience app at join.engageslide.com, type the code and press Enter — or simply scan the QR.
- 4When everyone has joined, the responses start flowing in live.
How the audience responds
Participants type a short word or phrase and submit — they can add more if you allow multiple entries.
View results
Words animate into the cloud in real time; repeated words grow larger, instantly showing the most common themes.
