# Answering questions as a participant

## The basics

- The slide on your device matches whatever the presenter is showing.
- Depending on the slide, you might **tap an option**, **type text**, **drag items**, or **place a pin**.
- A selected option shows a **green check**; press **Submit** to send your response.
- After submitting, the slide usually locks so you cannot accidentally change it.

> **“Submission stopped”** — If the presenter locks the slide, your Submit button reads **Submission stopped** and no more responses can be sent.

## Frequently asked questions

### Can I change my answer?

Usually not after submitting — the response is saved. If the presenter clears the slide, you can respond again.

### The screen didn’t move to the next question

Your device follows the presenter. When they advance the slide, yours updates automatically.
