## What is Duck Race?

A **Duck Race** is a light-hearted race for your whole audience. Every player picks one of 42 racers — rubber ducks in costumes (pirate, viking, wizard, astronaut…), a mallard, a duckling, swans, a penguin and even flamingo and unicorn pool floats — and joins the race on the river. With **audience boost** on, players tap their phones as fast as they can to make their duck swim faster and whoever is in front when time runs out wins. With boost off, the winner is picked at random — a fun way to run a raffle or a lucky draw.

## Duck Race settings

- **Race Duration (seconds)** — How long the race lasts. The finish line arrives exactly when the time runs out.
- **Let the audience boost** — On: players tap their phones to swim faster and the leader at the buzzer wins. Off: the winner is picked at random (great for a lucky draw) and phones just show the race status.
- **Theme** — Seven seasonal looks for the river, from spring blossom to a Halloween night.

## How the audience responds

Players join with your code, pick one of 42 racers (or tap **Random duck**) and enter their name — they can switch duck until the race starts. During a boost race the phone shows a big **TAP TO SWIM!** button with their live rank (for example **#1 of 5**). When the race ends every phone shows **You won!** or the place they finished.

## View results

The racers paddle along the river leaving a foam wake, with slips, spins, dives, wing-flapping bursts and the odd bump into a lily pad. In a boost race the fastest tappers get speed streaks and flap their wings. The last metres play in slow motion while the camera zooms onto the leader; the leader crosses the finish line with a splash and a burst of confetti and a **WINNER!** card shows their duck, name and — in a boost race — how many times they tapped. Press **AGAIN** to race again.

## Frequently asked questions

### How is the winner decided?

With audience boost on, whoever has swum furthest when time runs out wins — tapping faster makes your duck faster. With boost off, the winner is picked at random.

### Can I use it as a raffle or lucky draw?

Yes. Turn **Let the audience boost** off: everyone who joins gets a duck and the winner is random, so it is fair for everyone.

### Can players cheat with an auto-clicker?

No. Taps are capped at about 13 per second, so very fast tapping beyond that does not help.

### Does it use quiz scores?

No. Duck Race is a standalone game. Use a Leaderboard slide to show quiz scores.
