Select Answer (Quiz)

Classic multiple-choice quiz questions with scoring and a leaderboard.

What is Select Answer (Quiz)?

A Select Answer slide is a scored multiple-choice question. Each participant picks an option; correct answers earn points, and faster correct answers earn more. Scores roll up into a live Leaderboard.

Create a Select Answer (Quiz) slide

    On Home, click + Create new presentation (or add a slide to an existing one).

    In Choose Slide Type, pick Select Answer. You can also type it into Search slide types….
  3. 3
    The slide is created and the right panel opens on the Content tab.

Set up the content

    Type your question in the title field.
  2. 2
    Add answer options with + Add option — mark the correct one(s) with the tick box.
  3. 3
    Optionally add an image to the question or to individual options.

Select Answer (Quiz) settings

Points & speed bonus
Correct answers score points; answering faster scores more, which drives competition.
Multiple correct answers
Mark more than one option as correct to allow multi-select.
Time limit
Give the audience a countdown to respond. Turn on and set the number of seconds.
Hide result
Keep results hidden while people respond, then reveal them when you are ready.
Stop submission
Lock the slide so no more responses are accepted.

Present & share the join code

    Click Present in the top bar to put the slide on the big screen.

    A join code and a QR code appear (e.g. 36Y56).
  3. 3
    Participants open the Audience app at join.engageslide.com, type the code and press Enter — or simply scan the QR.
  4. 4
    When everyone has joined, the responses start flowing in live.

How the audience responds

Participants see the question and options, tap one (or several), and press Submit. After the reveal they see whether they were right and their points.

View results

Results show the vote distribution with the correct answer highlighted. Add a Leaderboard slide afterwards to show the running scores.

How are points calculated?
Correct answers earn a base score plus a speed bonus — the quicker the correct response, the more points.
Can I have more than one correct answer?
Yes. Tick multiple options as correct and multi-select turns on automatically.
